THIS IS A STATE PARK LAKE AND PROPERTY. PLEASE ADHERE PARK'S RULES:
ABSOLUTELY NO SWIMMING IN LAKE PRIOR TO EVENT AS NO LIFEGUARDS ARE ON DUTY
If you violate any of these rules, you will be banned from the race and no refund will be issued.
Water temperature in the past has been around 75 degrees.

Swim - 1/4 mile - triathlon - beach start
- Expected water temperature around 68-70. Westsuits allowed per USA Triathlon Rules.

Bike - 10 miles - Flat and Fast.
- Exit Transition area and head out the main entrance of Lums Pond.
- Right out of Main Entrance of Lums Pond onto Howell School Road.
- Right onto Route 71 (Red Lion Road). Sharp turn!! Slow down!!
- Right onto shoulder of Route 896 and stay on for 1/2 mile. Will be traffic monitored with cones and police.
- Right onto Howell School Road.
- Right into Main Entrance of Lums Pond and head back to beach are (area #1) at the Transition Area.
Run - 2 miles - final leg. Out and back course.
- Stay to the right of each other. Some grass and some paved road.

- 6:00am - 7:15am - LAST MINUTE BIKE AND HELMET optional inspections.
- 6:00am - 7:15am - Transition area opened. Located in Area #1 of Lums Pond State Park. Late packet pickup. Body marking.
- 7:15am - Mandatory pre-race meeting.
- 7:30am - National Anthem.
- Waves are subject to change.
- 7:45am - Start of first wave for Triathlon. Wave assignments to be determined.
- 9:30am - Official results posted.
- 9:45am - Post race party/awards. Awards will not be mailed.
- 9:45am - Transition area closed.
Race director/management may alter any part or distance of the event as dictated by event day conditions, such as weather. |

| absolutely NO refunds will be made for any reason. REFERRED TO AS “ENTRY FEES” ABOVE AND INCLUDES ENTRY FEES, PARTICIPANT SHIRTS, UPGRADED PRODUCTS, ANY OTHER AMENITIES, INSURANCE, AND ONLINE ADMINISTRATIVE FEES. MUST BE PRESENT TO RECEIVE ANY ITEMS as leftovers are distributed on day of race. WE DO NOT SHIP. ENTRY FEES CANNOT BE TRANSFERRED TO OTHER PERSONS OR APPLIED TOWARD future PIRANHA SPORTS EVENTS. Selling your race entry slot is strictly prohibited by piranha sports. If you do sell your race slot, you will be disqualified from the race and you, as well as the entrant who purchased your slot, will be unable to race in another Piranha Sports event for a minimum of 2 years. Piranha Sports reserves the right to reject any entry if a valid photo ID is not presented at race packet pick-up. There is NO rain date for the event. In cases of inclement weather, natural disaster, acts of God, acts of war or other unforeseen extraordinary circumstances, management reserves the right to cancel the event and/or modify the race course for safety concerns. Under such circumstances, there will be absolutely no refunds or transfer of entries to future Piranha Sports events. Each athlete must accept any such risk of their entry fee paid including other amenities paid for such as participate shirts, upgrade products, insurance, and online administrative fees. All monies collected are used to develop and produce the event, including all race supplies, staffing, and administration. We pledge to make every effort to produce a fair, safe and exciting event for all. Management reserves the right to reject or accept a race entry for any reason. By signing up for this race, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the terms listed on this page. |

| Spectator Information |
Lums Pond State Park ~ Area #1 offers a large field with ideal spectator areas for watching the swim, transition, bike start and finish as well as run start and finish. Bring the kids and make plans to spend the day at Lums Pond enjoying activities such as fishing, paddle boats, picnic area and playground.
Parking
Spectator (as well as athlete) parking is available at Area #1 and Area #2 at Lums Pond State Park. Parking attendants will be available to assist you with parking. Also, please be aware that once the race begins, the road leading in and out of Lums Pond State Park will be used by participants as it is part of the race course.
Athlete Support
Bring your cow bells, noise makers, posters, banners, and other items to cheer on your favorite athlete. Please keep in mind that spectators are not allowed to provide any outside assistance to the athletes. Outside assistance can result in penalties and possible disqualification. Outside assistance can include but is not limited to: transition area assistance, running or riding along with the athlete (pacing), handing off water bottles, etc. The Piranha Sports staff and volunteers will provide assistance as needed and allowed. As well, there will be no time during the event when spectators will be allowed in the secure transition area. If your athlete forgot an item for the transition area, please ask a Piranha Sports Staff member or volunteer to assist you in getting that item to the athlete.
Spectator Control
The Piranha Sports Staff and volunteers have your athlete’s safety and security as their primary responsibility. Therefore, there may be times during the course of the event that we will need to provide directions to spectators if we feel that the athletes do not have a clear and unobstructed path. Please pay close attention to these directions/instructions so that we are able to maintain the safety of every athlete.
Kids and Dogs
The Piranha Sports Staff loves having kids and dogs at the events. The kids are our future and the dogs are just great. If you do bring your children and/or pets, please keep a close eye on them. Do not allow them to venture onto any of the roadways particularly near the mount/dismount area. As well, if your children bring bikes, please ensure that they are wearing helmets at all times.
Post Race Food
Just as a reminder, the food and beverages provided by Piranha Sports are for athletes and volunteers only.
Other Notes
Lums Pond is a State Park and a take-in/take-out policy is in effect. Please be sure to take all trash with you and help keep the park clean.
