    Swim - 1/4 mile - triathlon - in water start

    • Expected water temperature around 68-70.  Westsuits allowed per USA Triathlon Rules.
    •   Need a wetsuit to rent or purchase?  Go to our sponsor, Xterra.  Click on logo.  

    Bike - 10 miles - Flat with some rolling.

    • Exit Transition area (Lot Area #1) and head out the main entrance of Lake Nockomixon State Park.
    • Right out of Main Entrance onto Route 563.  Route 563 will be closed.
    • Stay on shoulder of Route 563 and go for about 3 miles and u turn onto other side of Route 563.
    • Go for 5 miles on the other side of Route 563 and u turn.
    • Right into Main Entrance of Park and head back to the Transition Area.

    Run - 2 miles - final leg.  Out and back course. 

    • Stay to the left of each other.   Run on paved path heading east towards Marina/Visitor Center.  U turn around the flag pole at the pennisula and head back to finish line near transition area.

    • I-95 North
    • I-476 North (North East Extension of PA Turnpike).  Go for 44 miles.
    • Exit 44 onto PA-663 North toward PA-309/Quakertown.
    • Turn left onto John Fries Highway/PA-663.  Go for 3.4 miles
    • John Fries Hwy/PA-663 becomes PA-313 E.  Go for 4.8 miles
    • Turn left onto Mountain View Dr/PA-563.  Go for 2.3 miles
    • Turn right into Lake Nockamixon State Park


    From Allentown and North:

    • I-95 North

    • Turn left onto John Fries Highway/PA-663.  Go for 3.4 miles

      ·  Address for Lake Nockamixon State Park is 1542 Mountain View Drive, Quakertown, PA  18951.  Parking at Lot #3 and #4.  Packet Pickup at Lot #1.
    • Parking at Marina Area/Visitor Center.
    • 1:00pm – 3:00pm -  Early packet pickup at the beach area (Lot #1 area) of Nockamixon State Park.  
      ·         2:00pm - First Timers Meeting.  "Open to all registered participants."  This is an opportunity to review logistics of the race with a Piranha Sports staff member.  It will involve reviewing packets, chip timing, transition area, rules, and tips. 
      ·         BRING YOUR BIKE AND HELMET for optional inspection at early packet pickup.

    • 5:30am - 6:45am - LAST MINUTE BIKE AND HELMET optional inspections. 
      ·         5:30am - 6:45am - Transition area opened.  Located in Lot Area #1 of Nockamixon State Park.  Late packet pickup.  Body marking. 
      ·         6:45am - Mandatory pre-race meeting. 
      ·         7:00am - National Anthem. 
      ·         Waves based on last year's and is subject to change. 
      ·         7:15am - Wave 1 = Females 39 ad Under.  Pink Caps.
      ·         7:18am - Wave 2 = Females 40 and Over; Athenas; Physiclaly Challenged.  White Caps.
      ·         9:00am - Official results posted. 
      ·         9:15am - Post race party/awards.  Awards will not be mailed. 
      ·         9:15am - Transition area closed.

    Refund Policy
    absolutely NO refunds will be made for any reason.  REFERRED TO AS “ENTRY FEES” ABOVE AND INCLUDES ENTRY FEES, PARTICIPANT SHIRTS, UPGRADED PRODUCTS, ANY OTHER AMENITIES, INSURANCE, AND ONLINE ADMINISTRATIVE FEES.  MUST BE PRESENT TO RECEIVE ANY ITEMS as leftovers are distributed on day of race.  WE DO NOT SHIP.  ENTRY FEES CANNOT BE  TRANSFERRED TO OTHER PERSONS OR APPLIED TOWARD future PIRANHA SPORTS EVENTS.  Selling your race entry slot is strictly prohibited by piranha sports. If you do sell your race slot, you will be disqualified from the race and you, as well as the entrant who purchased your slot, will be unable to race in another Piranha Sports event for a minimum of 2 years. Piranha Sports reserves the right to reject any entry if a valid photo ID is not presented at race packet pick-up.  There is NO rain date for the event.  In cases of inclement weather, natural disaster, acts of God, acts of war or other unforeseen extraordinary circumstances, management reserves the right to cancel the event and/or modify the race course for safety concerns. Under such circumstances, there will be absolutely no refunds or transfer of entries to future Piranha Sports events. Each athlete must accept any such risk of their entry fee paid including other amenities paid for such as participate shirts, upgrade products, insurance, and online administrative fees.  All monies collected are used to develop and produce the event, including all race supplies, staffing, and administration. We pledge to make every effort to produce a fair, safe and exciting event for all.  Management reserves the right to reject or accept a race entry for any reason.  By signing up for this race, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the terms listed on this page.

    Spectator Information
    Lake Nockamixon ~ offers a large field with ideal spectator areas for watching the swim, transition, bike start and finish as well as run start and finish. Bring the kids and make plans to spend the day at Lake Nockamixon enjoying activities such as fishing, paddle boats, picnic area and playground.

    Parking
    Spectator (as well as athlete) parking is available at boat area and other designated area. Parking attendants will be available to assist you with parking. Also, please be aware that once the race begins, the road leading in and out of the Park will be used by participants as it is part of the race course.

    Athlete Support
    Bring your cow bells, noise makers, posters, banners, and other items to cheer on your favorite athlete. Please keep in mind that spectators are not allowed to provide any outside assistance to the athletes. Outside assistance can result in penalties and possible disqualification. Outside assistance can include but is not limited to: transition area assistance, running or riding along with the athlete (pacing), handing off water bottles, etc. The Piranha Sports staff and volunteers will provide assistance as needed and allowed. As well, there will be no time during the event when spectators will be allowed in the secure transition area. If your athlete forgot an item for the transition area, please ask a Piranha Sports Staff member or volunteer to assist you in getting that item to the athlete.

    Spectator Control
    The Piranha Sports Staff and volunteers have your athlete’s safety and security as their primary responsibility. Therefore, there may be times during the course of the event that we will need to provide directions to spectators if we feel that the athletes do not have a clear and unobstructed path. Please pay close attention to these directions/instructions so that we are able to maintain the safety of every athlete.

    Kids and Dogs
    The Piranha Sports Staff loves having kids and dogs at the events. The kids are our future and the dogs are just great. If you do bring your children and/or pets, please keep a close eye on them. Do not allow them to venture onto any of the roadways particularly near the mount/dismount area. As well, if your children bring bikes, please ensure that they are wearing helmets at all times.

    Post Race Food
    Just as a reminder, the food and beverages provided by Piranha Sports are for athletes and volunteers only.

    Other Notes
    Lake Nockamixon is a State Park and a take-in/take-out policy is in effect. Please be sure to take all trash with you and help keep the park clean.
