Water Temperature earlier in the week was measured at 74 degrees.  It is wetsuit legal.

Packet Pickup, Sports Expo, Health Fair, and Pasta Dinner is at the Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Company on Saturday, Sept. 22nd from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. 

Packet Pickup is MANDATORY on Saturday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.  There will be no packet pickup allowed on race morning.  With over 700 athletes registered and a 7:30 race start time, packet pick up must be the day before. Please remember to bring a photo ID and your USAT card if you're a member. If you're registered for a relay, all members of your team must be present at packet pick up.


Any Status Changes (i.e. - Tri change to Du; First Time in Triathlon to Age Group) will be handled during Packet Pickup Times Only.  Inquire with a Piranha Sports Staff.

Important Notes About Registering Online
Thank you for registering online with Piranha Sports.  Below is some general information to help you with your decisions when registering online.
  • There is a division, "First Timer at a Triathlon", for the individual triathlon.  Should you select this division, you are not eligible for regular age group awards.
  • There are no additional fees that occur when you register and finish with your shopping cart at the end of the registraiton process.  All fees displayed include processing fees.  The price you see is the price you pay.
  • If you are a First Responder - be sure to select this box under Additional Options in order to receive your $5.00 discount.  In addition, answer the question at the beginning of registration to indicate your affiliation regarding your role as a First Responder.  We thank you for racing with us!!
  • Making a donation to Make-A-Wish Midatlantic - you may select under additional options the $50 donation. Should you desire to make a larger donation, please do contact the race director, Rick Hundley, at rick@bethanybeachtri.com.
    • Whether you make a donation or not via the additional options/donation - you may also answer the question at the beginning of registration if you wish to receive a person fundraising page to raise money for Make-A-Wish.
  • Making a donation to AUTISM SPEAKS National Area Chapter - you may select under additional options the $50. Should you desire to make a larger donation, please do contact the race director, Rick Hundley, at rick@bethanybeachtri.com.
    • Whether you make a donation or not via the additional options/donation - you may also answer the question at the beginning of registration if you wish to receive a person fundraising page to raise money for AUTISM SPEAKS.
  • Pasta Dinner on Saturday is under additional options. The Pasta Dinner is between 4 and 8pm.
