If you still wish to race, please arrive at the race site/registration area on LIberty Street at Legislative Avenue right in front of the Revolutionary Hero Statue at the end of Court Street, Legislative Hall, Dover, DE.  Between 4:30pm and 5:15pm on Friday, May 4th.

Race Information
Join the Dover Colonial Rotary Club for the 25th Anniversary of the Dover Mile right in Legislative Mall.  Choose between the 1 Mile Fun Walk, Sub-Masters Mile Race (39 and Under), Masters Mile Race (40 and Over), or the 1 Mile Fun Run.  

Also, consider joining the Dover Colonial Rotary Club for the Dover Colonial Rotary 5K Run, scheduled for Saturday, May 5, 2012.  Visit this link to register for the 5K - http://www.piranha-sports.com/Race211.aspx

Family of 3 or more - pay one price
Immediately family members may have their lead family member (i.e. - Mom or Dad) sign up and pay first the discounted rate of $50 for 3 or more immediate family members.  Limited to 6 members.  This discount is good for the 1 Mile Fun Run and the 1 Mile Fun Walk only.  See below on how to take advantage of this offer.

Family Members (3 or more Immediate Family Members) - Pick a partner and run together!! Have your lead family member and family members do the following:
  1. Have your lead family member sign up first by Clicking on Register Now Button, agree to waiver terms, and Choose under Race Category either "1 Mile Fun Run Family" or "1 Mile Fun Walk Family".
    1. Lead Family Member will choose the "1 Mile Fun Run Family - (Team Captain) - $50.00" or "1 Mile Fun Walk Family - (Team Captain) - $50.00" drop down option.
    2. Proceed through registration and Enter Team Information:
      1. Team Name
      2. Enter Team Password
      3. How Many People will be on your Team?
    3. Proceed through registration and pay $50.00 via credit card.
    4. The "Team Captain" then shares the "Team Name" and "Team Password" with their immediate family members, and the "Team Member" will then register for the race.
      1. The remainer "Team Members" then will go ahead and register themselves choosing from the Race Category the same race your Team Captain entered you in "1 Mile Fun Run Family" or "1 Mile Fun Walk Family"
      2. Proceed through and enter Team Name and Team Password.
      3. They will not need to pay since the Team Captain has paid in advance for up to 6 Immediate Family Members.

Course
  • 1 Mile Race is Around Legislative Mall.
  • Race starts on end of Court Street at the Revolutionary Hero Statue at Legislative Hall. 
  • Race consists of two complete laps (each lap is a half a mile).
  • Race goes in a counter-clockwise direction onto Duke of York Street.
  • Turn left onto Federal Street.
  • Turn left onto William Penn.
  • Proceed beyond Liberty Street (where Revolutionary Hero Statue is located) for 2nd lap.  Repeat and then head left onto Liberty Street and finish at the Revoluntionary Hero Statue.

  • 4:30pm-5:15pm - Registration on Liberty Street at Legislative Avenue right in front of the Revolutionary Hero Statue at the end of Court Street.  Legislative Hall, Dover, DE
  • 4:30pm-5:45pm - Runners that are chip timed in the Sub-Masters Mile Race and Masters Mile Race may register up to 5:45pm.
  • 5:30pm - 1 Mile Fun Walk - untimed
  • 6:00pm - Sub-Masters Mile Race (39 and Under) - chip timed
  • 6:15pm - Masters Mile Race (40 and Over) - chip timed
  • 6:30pm - 1 Mile Fun Run - untimed
  • 6:30pm - Awards Ceremony for Timed Miles

Refund Policy
No Refunds, No Tranfers, No Deferrals Under Any Circumstances.

absolutely NO refunds will be made for any reason. REFERRED TO AS “ENTRY FEES” ABOVE AND INCLUDES ENTRY FEES, PARTICIPANT SHIRTS, UPGRADED PRODUCTS, ANY OTHER AMENITIES, INSURANCE, AND ONLINE ADMINISTRATIVE FEES. MUST BE PRESENT TO RECEIVE ANY ITEMS as leftovers are distributed on day of race. WE DO NOT SHIP. ENTRY FEES CANNOT BE TRANSFERRED TO OTHER PERSONS OR APPLIED TOWARD future PIRANHA SPORTS EVENTS. Selling your race entry slot is strictly prohibited by piranha sports. If you do sell your race slot, you will be disqualified from the race and you, as well as the entrant who purchased your slot, will be unable to race in another Piranha Sports event for a minimum of 2 years. Piranha Sports reserves the right to reject any entry if a valid photo ID is not presented at race packet pick-up. There is NO rain date for the event. In cases of inclement weather, natural disaster, acts of God, acts of war or other unforeseen extraordinary circumstances, management reserves the right to cancel the event and/or modify the race course for safety concerns. Under such circumstances, there will be absolutely no refunds or transfer of entries to future Piranha Sports events. Each athlete must accept any such risk of their entry fee paid including other amenities paid for such as participate shirts, upgrade products, insurance, and online administrative fees. All monies collected are used to develop and produce the event, including all race supplies, staffing, and administration. We pledge to make every effort to produce a fair, safe and exciting event for all. Management reserves the right to reject or accept a race entry for any reason. By signing up for this race, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the terms listed on this page.
