Team Competition Information
  • Team Competition for 5K Run. (Up to 8 people)
    1. When registering online, one of you will be the "Team Captain", the others will be the "Team Members"
    2. The "Team Captain" will register first, creating a "Team Name", "Team Password" and paying the registration fee.
    3. The "Team Captain" then shares the "Team Name" and "Team Password" with the rest of the team, and the "Team Members" will then register for the race. When team members create their own profile (first time users of the online system), they ignore the club drop down list in the profile set up as this is not the Team Competition Drop down list that the captain has set up for the Team Competition.
    4. The "Team Members" will choose the "Team Name" from a dropdown list in the registration component, and must enter the "Team Password" to register.
    5. The top 3 times in the Team will be used in the competition
  • The "Team Captain" must sign up first to create the "Team". Team Captain will pay in full a total of $210.00 (this is already discounted as to provide "one free entry"). No refunds issued if your team has less than 7 or 8 members. If for some reason your Team Captain had been issued a promo/discount code, only the Team Captain is allowed to enter this and get credit, otherwise if future team members attempt to use it, it will show up as invalid when registering and cannot continue. Simply leave the promo code box blank to proceed.
  • The "Team Captain" will receive a confirmation email with the "Team Name" and "Team Password" that can be forwarded to the rest of the team. The remaining team members will not be charged since your captain has paid in full.
  • Important Notice: It is strongly suggested the Team Captain pay via credit card instead of mail-in method. This way, your team is guaranteed to participate. Otherwise, until there is a receipt of payment, team packets will be withheld until payment in full is received.

NO REGISTRATIONS OR ADJUSTMENTS FOR TEAM COMPETITION WILL BE ALLOWED AFTER ONLINE CLOSES. No exceptions.

Awards
The following awards have been established and are subject to change.  These are listed in order by how they finish overall.  No duplicates except for under Special Scoring.  For example, if John Smith is a Masters runner and finishes 3rd overall, he will be awarded the 3rd Place Overall and not the Masters award.  The Masters award will be awarded to the next winner in line.

Top 3 Overall Men and Top 3 Overall Females

Top 3 Masters (Males 40 and Over) and (Females 40 and Over)

Top 3 in Each Division as Outlined per Gender:

Top Male and Female Race Walker - TBD by Race Director/Race Committee

Team Competition:
This is a separate race and all those who race in the Team Competition are also eligible for the individual results/awards as outlined above.  Duplicates allowed in this instance.
Top 3 Score and whichever cross the line first among the following top 3 from their teams will result in Top Male Team, Top Female Team, or Top Coed Team.
For example, if an 8 member team has 3 females and 5 males but 3 males cross the line first among this team, it is considered an Male Team for awards purposes as we will take only the top 3.
