Kids aged 5 to 14 welcomed to compete (AGE AS OF 12/31/12). The KAY Tri is part of the Escape from School Youth Triathlon and awards and series points are awarded to age groups as follows: 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14 in each Gender. A child that is aged 5-6 (all participants racing age is as of 12-31 or current year), they will be paired up with the 7-8 year age groups. |

Kennett Square is located in Chester County, PA, just north of Wilmington, DE and west of Philadephia, PA. Home to the world renowned Longwood Gardens and famous for its mushrooms, Kennett Square is easily accessible, being located right off of US Route 1.
From North:
Route 202 South to US Route 1 South to First Kennett Square Exit after the Walmart, Follow State Street South and turn left onto Union Street, left onto South Street at Kennett High School, park in parking lot across from venue.
From South:
Route 1 North to Route 82 - Unionville/Kennett Square Exit. Right onto Route 82/Union Street. Left onto South Street at Kennett High School, park in parking lot, venue is across the street.
From Interstate 95: (95 South - Exit 7B; 95 North - Exit 7: Wilmington Exits)
Follow Route 52 North; Turn Left on Old Kennett Road; Turn Right at Kaolin Road; Turn Right into Kennett High School Parking lot, venue is across the street.

- 6:00am - 7:00am - BIKE AND HELMET optional inspections.
- 6:00am - 6:45am - Race Day Registrations. Cut off time is 6:45am prompt.
- 6:00am - 7:00am - Transition area opened. Located at ____. Packet pickup. Body marking.
- 7:00am - Mandatory pre-race meeting.
- 7:05am - National Anthem.
- 7:15am - Swim - 1st Wave. 13-14 year olds. Red Caps.
- 7:18am - Swim - 2nd Wave. 11-12 year olds. Blue Caps.
- 7:21am - Swim - 3rd Wave. 9-10 year olds. Green Caps.
- 7:24am - Swim - 4th Wave. 7-8 year olds. Kids under 7 will go off in this wave as well. Orange Caps.
- 7:45am - Official results posted. This is your opportunity to review your own results. Once awards ceremony begins, all results are final.
- 8:00am - Post race party/awards. Awards will not be mailed.
- 8:00am - Transition area closed.
Race director/management may alter any part or distance of the event as dictated by event day conditions, such as weather. |

No Refunds, No Tranfers, No Deferrals Under Any Circumstances.
absolutely NO refunds will be made for any reason. REFERRED TO AS “ENTRY FEES” ABOVE AND INCLUDES ENTRY FEES, PARTICIPANT SHIRTS, UPGRADED PRODUCTS, ANY OTHER AMENITIES, INSURANCE, AND ONLINE ADMINISTRATIVE FEES. MUST BE PRESENT TO RECEIVE ANY ITEMS as leftovers are distributed on day of race. WE DO NOT SHIP. ENTRY FEES CANNOT BE TRANSFERRED TO OTHER PERSONS OR APPLIED TOWARD future PIRANHA SPORTS EVENTS. Selling your race entry slot is strictly prohibited by piranha sports. If you do sell your race slot, you will be disqualified from the race and you, as well as the entrant who purchased your slot, will be unable to race in another Piranha Sports event for a minimum of 2 years. Piranha Sports reserves the right to reject any entry if a valid photo ID is not presented at race packet pick-up. There is NO rain date for the event. In cases of inclement weather, natural disaster, acts of God, acts of war or other unforeseen extraordinary circumstances, management reserves the right to cancel the event and/or modify the race course for safety concerns. Under such circumstances, there will be absolutely no refunds or transfer of entries to future Piranha Sports events. Each athlete must accept any such risk of their entry fee paid including other amenities paid for such as participate shirts, upgrade products, insurance, and online administrative fees. All monies collected are used to develop and produce the event, including all race supplies, staffing, and administration. We pledge to make every effort to produce a fair, safe and exciting event for all. Management reserves the right to reject or accept a race entry for any reason. By signing up for this race, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the terms listed on this page. |
