Volunteer Groups Can Earn Money at Piranha Sports Events

For Volunteer Groups:

If you would like a great fund raiser with minimal overhead expenses, consider volunteering at a Piranha Sports event.

Below are 15 events you can choose from.  Please pay close attention to dates, locations, and descriptions as some events are charitable events in which all donations are made directly to the non-profit organization hosting the event(s).  However, we can always use your help!!

It’s easy to register for an event as a volunteer.  You must be at least 18 years of age to register.  To register somebody under 18, please have parent/guardian sign up for you.

Here’s how to register:

  • Go to www.piranha-sports.com and click on the “More Information” tab relating to the event.
  • This will take you directly to race page which has general information for all participants.  It also includes directions to race site.
  • Click on the “Volunteer Now” button.
  • If this is your first time registering in this state of the art online system, click on the “Create New Login (First Time)” button.  Just follow all directions as outlined on the site.
  • Be sure to select the Club you represent.  If your club/organization is not listed, please email me at nsemmel@piranha-sports.com and we will update.
  • If you have already registered previously, simply log in by typing in your email/user name and password.
  • Read all waivers and click agree and initialize by typing your initials.
  • Select the task you would like to work.
  • Upon completion you will receive an auto email saying you registered as a volunteer for xyz event.
  • You may continue and sign up for other races as a volunteer.

Be sure to abide by the expected report time and completion time for each specific task.  Also, be sure that you are qualified to work the specific task such as lifeguards (must be certified).

You and your group leader may then check the Entry List for each event and click on the “Volunteer” Race Category Entry list under the event(s).  You will see all those already signed up with the organization and requested task.  In addition, you will see the number of slots left for each available volunteer tasks.

All slots are first come, first serve so be sure to sign up right away.

For every 4 volunteers under the age of 16, we ask that you have 1 adult assigned to this group.

Donations will be made only to non-profit groups and not to specific individuals except where notified.  Be sure that your volunteers bring appropriate snacks, water, sun screen, bug spray and good cheer.  No additional monies will be paid for trip expenses including mileage and tolls.  Shirts are not guaranteed to volunteers, however, if there are some additional shirts leftover from a race, we’ll gladly donate to your group.  In some instances, campsites are paid for by us for those who need overnight accommodations such as the Delaware Diamondman Triathlon.  Please allow up to 3 weeks for donations to arrive.
